You can now convert money between your wallet currencies. Tap Convert on your wallet card, choose the currency you want, and the amount moves across instantly. If you do not have a wallet in that currency yet, one is opened for you automatically.

The amount you see is the amount you get. Every conversion is quoted at the mid-market rate, refreshed daily, with a 2% conversion fee already included, so what shows before you confirm is exactly what lands in the other wallet. Each conversion also appears in your transactions with its own reference, like any other activity.

Why conversions? Gifts arrive in the currency your gifters pay in, and that is not always the currency you want to hold or withdraw. Converting lets you bring your balances together in the currency that suits you best. Conversions cover all card currencies to start; Naira wallets are not part of this yet.

Nothing is required from you. Conversions are always something you choose, never automatic, and gifts, withdrawals and the balances already in your wallets work exactly as before.

When someone sends you a cash gift, the money now settles in your wallet after 24 hours before it is made available to be withdrawn. During that window, the amount shows on your wallet card as incoming, along with the timeline for when it becomes available.

Tap the incoming line on your wallet card to see each gift on hold and its exact release time. Once the 24 hour period elapses, the funds move into your balance automatically and you can withdraw as you’ve always done.

Why the change? A short settlement window gives every payment time to fully clear from our payment provider partners, which protects both you and the people gifting you from failed or reversed charges. It is the same approach most payment platforms use.

Nothing is required from you. Gifts still arrive instantly, notes and gifter details work exactly as before, and any balance already in your wallet is not affected.
